Perhaps a little miffed at not having seen her own name in a tabloid for a while now, Christina Aguilera recently revealed in a podcast that she is a great fan of having sex on aeroplanes and even revealed the surprising benefits of doing it bent over a recording desk.

Britney-Lite might have let the genie out of the bottle in 1999, but with her latest ‘revelation’ she is perhaps hoping to grab some of the attention that her contemporaries have been basking in lately. By contemporaries we mean Paris (baby), Lindsay (baby), and the queen of pop herself, Britney Spears (mental instability).

Considering that she hasn’t really been putting out any noteworthy music lately, except for a remix of an old song, she must have thought that some dishing on her sex adventures was just what the world needs.

Christina revealed on her ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast that she and long-time fiance Matthew Rutler love to ‘romp under the blankets’ when everyone is asleep on the plane, and even when she is by herself, her handy little toys help her to get through those long flights.

“I can’t believe we didn’t get caught so many times in so many situations. Thank the Lord. On international flights, I turn the light off. There’s always room to get creative. I use blankets. It’s like, ‘Oh, I feel safe with my partner here like we’re just sleeping together’. You’ve got to wait ’till everyone’s, like, going to sleep. It’s setting the mood.”

That’s like, so sexy. Christina added she finds using sex toys on planes a handy stress and anxiety-relieving exercise.

“I’m not sure I’ll be recommending that to any nervous fliers, though. I literally remember even having this little pocket-sized one I could pack in my bag on an airplane. I was horny. Sometimes it’s an anxiety thing, too.”

Who hasn’t packed a fully charged Rabbit into their carry-on at some point? But just in case the world isn’t blown away by all the mile-high adventures, the singer once referred to as the “Voice of a Generation” revealed that she has had some pretty hot sessions bent over a mixing desk in the studio as well.

“There’s been some good times, there’s like, the studio soundboard. I’ve been bent over there a couple of times. It’s fun.”

That would explain a lot of her music. Buttons getting pushed randomly, tweaking the mid and high range knobs this way and that until finally somebody just has enough and says “I’m done. Master and release.”

Ok, so all this seems a bit stabby at Christina, and it may be a tad unfair. After all, the Dirrty singer did assist Britney in bringing pop back into the limelight after Madonna turned into an immortal spider-lady that freaked out teens a bit too much with all her crab-walking across stages and going after younger guys. Stab-stab.

But is it just me or is there a resurgence in interest in has-beens like Paris and Lindsay? Paris had a baby and the planet was all Awww, leading to Lindsay jumping on the ‘I’m still here’ bandwagon with a quick kid of her own. Now they’re so hot again. Britney is cool though and still, like, rules and stuff.

Perhaps with the revelations of her sexy flights and bonking on the mixing desk, Christina will linger for a bit in the gold-fish memory of social media. If not, she can always try a sex tape. But that’s soo 90’s Paris.

Maybe she should go and help Katie Melua count bicycles in Beijing. At least it is a long flight.
