Polish 21-year-old Julia Wendell – who is also referred to as Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt in various media reports – has captured the curiosity of people from around the world after claiming to be missing Madeleine McCann.
She just made her first television appearance on Dr Phil, where she answers some critical questions about her possible identity as the missing British girl.
Madeleine’s whereabouts are still an unsolved mystery, having vanished from her holiday apartment in Portugal on May 3, 2007, as her parents Kate and Gerry dined at a nearby restaurant.
The case has received intense scrutiny over the many years from the media and her family, who have spent a fortune trying to locate their baby girl.
So of course, when Julia boldly created an Instagram account @iammadeleinemcann claiming to be the missing girl and making astonishing links to prove the possibility, the world looked up from the McCann malaise.
While Persian psychic detective Dr Fia Johansson has done a lot in her power to help Julia find the truth, Dr Phil welcomed Julia to his long-running talk show on Monday and analysed the key factors which make her believe she is little Maddy.
The veteran presenter went through all the body markings that parallel the two girls, making for a convincing argument:
Besides the body markings being pretty similar, there is also the fact that the first six pages of her Polish child health book are mysteriously blank, while she also recounts being sexually abused by a man named Peter Ney, who she believes is related to Martin Ney, the child trafficker and serial killer suspected in the Madeleine McCann case.
There is also the dubious fact that “Julia’s mum refused to do a DNA test and she refused to answer any of calls, texts or other communication,” according to Dr Fia.
Julia is currently awaiting the results of three separate forensic tests to determine her DNA sequence, including DNA testing to rule out if she might be Livia Schepp, a Swiss girl who went missing at the age of six in 2011 along with her twin Alessia.
