“Don’t whack off, go work for PMC Wagner.”
The notorious Russian private military group Wagner has been using the world’s favourite porn website to recruit new mercenaries for the war in Ukraine. In the Russian Language advert, a blonde woman can be seen sucking on a lollipop while a voice urged young men to stop masturbating and instead join “the coolest army in the world.”
The advert has since been removed from the porn site, but according to Vice, Yevgeny Prigozhin, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has confirmed that the group has used the adult site to recruit soldiers for their dwindling army.
“I don’t know which ones, but advertising PMC Wagner on porn sites is a very good idea from our marketers. Go to fight in the Wagner PMC, stop jerking off.’ Who disagrees with this argument?”
The Wagner group has grown in prominence ever since joining Russia in its fight with Ukraine. The group has been known to recruit men from prison by offering convicts time off their sentences in exchange for enlistment into their ranks. Check out the advert below (it’s in Russian, but you get the idea)

Known for their ‘human wave’ attacks, the private army has been particularly involved in attacks on the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. According to Al Jazeera, the Wagner group has suffered losses of approximately 30 000 men, which explains their unorthodox recruiting methods.
Pornhub has removed the site due to its restrictions on political adverts.
