Britney Spears’ social media posts and general behaviour have been under heavy scrutinisation since her conservatorship ended two years ago.

Repeatedly posting pictures and videos of herself in various stages of undress, including complete nudes in far too many Instagram posts, has not exactly made her less scrutiniseable.

Then she started posting dance videos and skits with her hair all dishevelled and make-up racooning around her eyes to the extent that internet sleuths started coming up with a couple of freaky conspiracy theories about her and her true well-being.

TikTok is alight with “where is Britney Spears” theories, pointing out glitches and strange details suggesting that whatever we see of her on Instagram is actually a CGI rendering of her and she is still being controlled by her family and agents.

She has consequently turned off comments from her Insta posts, which is probably the smartest thing she could do besides getting out of the harsh spotlight entirely.

That deleted post above apparently freaked a lot of people out as they noticed a blood patch in her eye, noted OK! Magazine:

“Different edit of ‘The Hook Up’ 🌷🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!” Spears captioned the post on Thursday, March 9, in reference to one of her hit songs.

“Wonder what happened to Britney’s eye,” one social media user expressed on Friday, March 10, as another added, “so I think we all need to worry about Britney Spears again… she’s losing it on Instagram.”

“Am I the only one that still think @britneyspears still need some help because what was this in her last post? I’m just cringing,” a third hater wrote, sharing a screenshot of the mother-of-two’s dancing video.

There have been rumours swirling around about an alleged intervention planned by Britney’s family in order to ‘save her life’.

The rumours claimed Spears’ loved ones were planning to push her into treatment for supposed substance abuse issues.

Nonetheless, Spears tried to deny she was in any danger:

Meanwhile, Page Six reported that her medical issues are “far more complex” than her fans realise:

“Nobody outside the very small conservatorship circle knows what Britney’s medical status really is,” one highly placed source told Page Six. “If people knew Britney’s actual medical status, I think it would reveal that her mental problems are far more severe than people realize.”

The source said that “regardless of her mental condition, it isn’t necessarily appropriate for her to be under a conservatorship”, adding that “there are less harsh ways to handle it”.
