Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s wedding lawsuit has revealed all the secrets and chaos that bubbled behind the scenes before the big day.
Apparently, it was such a snake’s nest of drama that the father of the bride nearly called it off, blasting it as a “s–t show”.
Brooklyn, David and Victoria Beckham’s son, tied the knot with heiress model Peltz in April 2022, and the $3 million star-studded affair was splashed all over British Vogue.
This wedding might have been the moment the alleged feud between Nicola and Victoria began, with reports that the run-up to the event sparked an ugly war between the two.
Now the depth of all the drama is being revealed from the lawsuit that Nicola’s billionaire father launched against the wedding’s organisers after complaining about their work.
Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events were hired by Mr Peltz six weeks before his daughter tied the knot with Beckham, per The Independent:
Less than a year later, it emerged he was suing the pair for refusing to refund his $159,000 ( £132,000) deposit after they were fired for an event he reportedly described as a “s***show”.
Ms Braghin and Ms Grijal are counter-suing Mr Peltz for “breach of contract” and “interference” with a business deal. The planners are asking for £41,000 in damages as well as costs, which could be significantly higher.
The countersuit includes hundreds of WhatsApp messages and emails exchanged between Nicola and the wedding planners, revealing all the lies and chaos that occurred before the lavish wedding:

Page Six notes that Nicola’s mother, Claudia, did everything she could to hide the true cost of the wedding from her husband, Westchester billionaire businessman Nelson, and asked the planners to mum’s the word:
“It is believed that Nelson Peltz paid more than $100,000 plus travel expenses for Nicola’s hair and makeup services for the wedding,” says the suit. “Claudia mentioned to [one of the planners] that Nelson could not know the cost of the hair and makeup, or he would ‘kill her, and be so mad.’”
The planners also revealed that Nicola and Claudia were completely chaotic in their planning and admin, and even tried to hide all that from their famous new in-laws, David and Victoria:
The planners claim that they “attempted every which way to get Nicola and Claudia to review the guest lists, but they simply would not cooperate.” And they say that “Notwithstanding their lack of cooperation, Nicola repeatedly demanded live updates regarding guest RSVPs.”
Harry and Meghan appear to have been invited to the wedding, although they did not attend if they were:
“Did Megan get an invite”, Ms Peltz writes [in a text], to which her daughter asks: “Who’s Megan”. Ms Peltz adds: “And Harry,” It is unclear whether Nicola knew who her mother was referring to.
The Peltz’s allegedly neglected to focus on the guest list like a “moving target” with constant changes and missing bits, and rather zoned into making everything appear swell in front of the Beckhams:

“Both Claudia and Nicola had insisted that Victoria Beckham could not know about any internal mistakes regarding the ongoing planning of her son’s wedding, including any errors with the guest list,” reads the suit.
The planners said that Nelson was a “billionaire bully” and wanted to “cancel the wedding,” calling it “a s–t show”.
But “Claudia begged Nelson not to cancel the wedding because it would ‘destroy Nicola’s career,’” the planners claim.
Nicola and Brooklyn did eventually wed at Nelson’s £76 million family mansion in Palm Beach in front of several celebrity friends, including Serena and Venus Williams, Eva Longoria, and chef Gordon Ramsay.
