While Cape Town readies itself for the first-ever South African E-Prix set to take off on the 25 February, we managed to weasel ourselves onto the track for a sneak peek at how the course is progressing. And by we, I mean our Petrol Head-in-Chief, Seth Rotherham.
Although our very own Ricky Bobby was one of the lucky people who bought tickets within the first two seconds it went on sale, he has nonetheless been sneaking around the venue in the hope of identifying the best spot from where to enjoy the world’s fastest electrical vehicles as they whistle their way around the city streets.
Persistent is our man, and also lucky.
While pretending to change a lightbulb, Seth managed to get in some great pictures of the track and stands being assembled, for your exclusive viewing pleasure, of course:

The E-Prix forms part of a 10-day E-fest during which various events and activities are being planned to promote and showcase e-mobility.
For those of you that haven’t bought tickets yet, we suggest you do so quickly as they are going faster than a blue light motorcade through rush-hour traffic. We hope to see you there, and if you spot Seth drooling over the racing cars, please say hello.
That’s if we can keep him from getting arrested for trespassing.
