Elon Musk seems to be aligning himself with a supervillain who wants to take over the world.
I mean, at this stage, we wouldn’t put it past him. He’s already on the path, dominating the internet (he owns Twitter), roads (through Tesla and The Boring Company), outer space (SpaceX and his OTT Mars plan), and even, our brains (god forbid, via Neuralink).
Now he’s talking about a third ‘Master Plan’ which is certainly something Dr Evil would say with his pinkie at the corner of his plotting smile.
The annoying thing is that Elon knows exactly what he is doing, and if he doesn’t care, he loves the negative attention (bad press is still press, right?).
Anyway, the CEO of a lot announced via Twitter (dah) that he would present his “Master Plan 3” during Tesla’s Investor Day event on March 1st.
The plan doesn’t sound all that nefarious though, set to outline “the path to a fully sustainable energy future for Earth,” he said, adding that “the future is bright!”
Alright, your fellow Saffas are listening as we sit in load-shedding darkness.
Master Plan 3, the path to a fully sustainable energy future for Earth will be presented on March 1.

Nobody knows what this will entail exactly, but it might just be orientated around a long-term strategy for Tesla, especially if his ‘Master Plan’ one and two are anything to go by.
Mashable outlined the first plan:
In the first part of the Master Plan, Musk described his plan for scaling Tesla, starting with the production of a high performance electric car (that was the original Tesla Roadster), then using the profits to scale into production of a more affordable, family sedan (that was the Tesla Model S), and then use the profits to build an even more affordable electric car (those were the Tesla Model 3 and the Tesla Model Y), all the while providing zero emission, electric power generation options via photovoltaics company Solarcity that was later acquired by Tesla.
In the cheekily titled ‘Part Deux’ revealed in 2016, the company planned to expand even further by selling solar roofs, or ‘integrated energy generation and storage’, as well as other forms of ground transportation, like cybertrucks as well as “heavy-duty trucks and high passenger-density urban transport.”, reported The Verge.
While the first part of the Master Plan might have worked, the second is not totally there yet:
Tesla is selling solar roofs, but not nearly enough to make a big dent in the U.S. energy production landscape, and Tesla cars do have some self-driving capabilities, but they’re still far from being able to safely drive you around on their own.
The last part of Musk’s second Master Plan, which is to enable Tesla cars to earn money for their owners by working as robotic taxis, hinges on self-driving and regulatory approval, and it currently appears to be years away, at best.
Elon has been teasing ‘Master Plan 3’ for nearly a year now and unlike the other two plans, this version will include updates from his other companies:
Main Tesla subjects will be scaling to extreme size, which is needed to shift humanity away from fossil fuels, and AI.
But I will also Include sections about SpaceX, Tesla and The Boring Company.

Plan three will be live-streamed from Tesla’s Giga Texas factory near Austin, Texas, with major investors present:
Robotaxis and the next-gen platform will for sure get more fleshed out during Musk’s presentation. Given his focus on scaling Tesla’s operations to extreme size, we should expect some mention of the long-promised $25,000 EV. And some mention of the company’s controversial Full Self-Driving system and how it will plan into Musk’s stilted vision of an autonomous future is all but guaranteed.
Whatever it is, it better be big and global.
