The Ndlovu Youth Choir won Mzansi’s heart after making it to the finals of America’s Got Talent in 2019.
Even though they didn’t win back then, they’re back on the AGT stage for more trendy songs this year and we couldn’t be more excited for them and proud of them.
The singing group hailing from Limpopo was selected as part of the top 16 acts of all time among Got Talent franchises to compete in the All-Star show, notes TimesLIVE.
The choir said that they were absolutely frothing to get on the stage again with all the other talented performers from around the world:

Artistic director Ralf Schmitt said that the performance was dedicated to the people of South Africa and that the original song is about the “South African spirit of resilience”:
“There are so many young South Africans who just need an opportunity and we tried to represent well. Being on that stage is a huge privilege and honour, and a reminder to the country about the potential of South Africans.”
Schmitt said that with such “incredible mentorship in the choir” they were able to take “the challenge by the horns” and move forward besides not winning at AGT:
“When they didn’t go through, I told them that they had won a career in the arts and I am proud that they get to reap all kinds of opportunities coming our way.”
The Ndlovu Youth Choir really got a break from AGT and it is wonderful that they are finally ready to take over international stages around the world in the near future.
