Perhaps the only thing that Kim Kardashian has in common with all the rest of us is an obsession with The White Lotus.
Then again, the gap is maintained by her turning her love for the HBO show into a genius marketing move.
For her shapewear brand Skims’ newest Valentine’s Day campaign, she has called on the show’s breakout stars Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò to model for her, notes Variety.
The ads show Mia and Lucia, the iconic sex workers who romped around the White Lotus hotel in Italy, wearing the brand’s limited-edition Valentine’s Day Shop collection.

It is rather sweet that Tabasco and Grannò, both Nepalese, are friends in real life and were so before being cast alongside each other in the Mike White series.
Grannò said that experiencing their first global fashion campaign together is “something very special”.

While the reality star does indeed know a thing or two about running a successful empire, not everyone is keen on Kardashian being the one to dole out business advice.
Kim has been receiving backlash on social media for giving a speech at Harvard Business School with Skims co-founder Jens Grede to talk to students about the shapewear company:
I spoke At Harvard Business School yesterday for a class called HBS Moving Beyond DTC. The class’s assignment was to learn about @skims, so my partner Jens and I spoke about our marketing, our challenges and our greatest wins. pic.twitter.com/42FiWDlmaj

Entrepreneur highlights some of the scathing comments:
Anyway, Skims is currently estimated to be worth around $3,2 billion, so everyone who is not Kim can go and eat cake.
