Boston Dynamics have been at the forefront of robotics for a number of years now, and their humanoid robot, Atlas, has been constantly improving its limits of motion, sensing, and athleticism.
A recently released video shows the robot navigating a scaffolding with parkour-like grace as it carries tools up to an awaiting worker.
The video has been watched more than three million times in the last two days, so it would seem that we are not the only ones feeling a bit strange about a robot that by all appearances seems to be getting smarter and more agile every day.
Atlas might not yet be as clever as the T-2000 from Terminator, but we can’t help but feel a bit nervous seeing it [her? him?] flip-ass over the end with as much grace as a gymnast.
