Prince William brushed off a reporter’s attempts to find out how Spare made him feel with a stiff upper lip.
“Your Royal Highness, have you had a chance to read your brother’s book at all?” the reporter shouted, twice, as William walked away, seemingly unhearing.
You’ve never seen Prince William skedaddle out of a charity faster.
Per Page Six, the royal couple stopped at Open Door Charity in Birkenhead, England, marking their second appearance since Harry’s memoir was released on Tuesday:
Middleton, 41, and William, 40, seemed in good spirits — despite the claims made against them and other members of the royal family in the Duke of Sussex’s memoir.
Harry spoke out against his brother in the book, claiming that William physically attacked him after calling his wife, Meghan Markle, “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”:
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor,” he wrote.
“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
Buckingham Palace has remained quiet about the allegations made in Harry’s book so far.
However, royal expert Katie Nicholl told Page Six that, per her sources, “William’s privately seething and devastated by what Harry has done. And just cannot forgive Harry for the things that he’s written.”
Prince William’s laser focus on dodging the question at the charity was impressive then:
In Spare, Harry also claimed that his father, King Charles III, referred to him as a “spare” son after the was born, which is probably where the book title comes from.
Meanwhile, Patti Davis, who once wrote a scathing tell-all book about her former-president father, Ronald Reagan, and her dysfunctional family, reckons Harry has made an enormous mistake with his bombshell book.
