This YouTuber is totally okay with being uncomfortable and somewhat humiliated on a regular basis.

He’s doing it for the views, so who cares, I guess.

Fidias Panayiotou has now spent almost a month outside SpaceX in an attempt to hug his “favourite person in the world”, Elon Musk.

The fanatical YouTuber has been documenting his entire mission to hug Elon for the past 47 days.

It all started with his initial mission to hug 100 celebrities, which he managed to do, hugging the likes of MrBeast, Andrew Garfield, and more until he hit 99.

Just one person away from 100, he has chosen to latch on to Elon. He is never giving up, no matter what, reported Business Insider:

Panayiotou told Insider he will continue the campaign “until I die” and even if 100 days pass he will not stop. He said he’s aware that what he’s doing is “annoying” but he is “persistent” and added, “I am doing this to show him love.”

The 22-year-old Cypriot camping outside the SpaceX Launch Facility in Boca Chica, Texas, has included desperate stunts to get the CEO to give him attention:

Besides dressing up in a Spider-Man costume and waving a sign saying “searching for Elon Musk”, Fidias also arranged a crowd to stand in a formation that spelt “HUG FIDIAS”:

Then he went a notch up and things became momentarily worrying:

On November 16, Panayiotou shared a TikTok where he said he had asked his followers to “go spam” Musk’s mother, Maye, to tell her son to hug the YouTuber. It’s unclear where the comments were made and no such post is currently visible on his Instagram or TikTok accounts.

Maye responded on Instagram and Twitter, accusing him of being “malicious” and saying she received “over 500 spams” as a result.

The fact that Musk replied to his mother’s tweet with a hug emoji, suggesting he appreciates her support to ignore Fidias, has not stopped the YouTuber:

Just going to throw this in here:

Then he moved from SpaceX to the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco, California, where he was almost arrested by security and police for a possible trespassing charge:

He even managed to flip the comments that said he was harassing and stalking Musk around in his favour:

On day 47, Fidias was again approached by security who basically told him no way, José:

With his more than one million YouTube subscribers and 800 000 TikTok followers, he has a lot of backing for this strange antic.

He also prides himself on being able to endure challenging living situations. One of his outlandish YouTube challenges was to live in an airport for seven days.

Gosh, the internet sure does make people do strange things.
