N is for no exes on Netflix.
It must be so annoying to have an ex still taking advantage of your Netflix account as if they didn’t already bleed you dry.
Wipe your tears, darlings, because you can finally boot them from your account without having to communicate with them.
Netflix has launched a new feature in ‘Account Settings’ under ‘Manage Access and Devices’ that allows users to see who is connected to their account and sign them out without a word.
I mean, you could have done that already by changing the password, but now there is a more official, and satisfying, way.
Based on a screenshot from Netflix, reported The Verge, you’ll be able to see exactly which devices are connected to your account, which profile watched something on that device, and where they watched it from.
Although it won’t be a precise location, just a ballpark, so you won’t really be able to find the exact house that you need to egg.
If you want to log somebody out of the account, all you need to do is click the ‘Sign Out’ button.
Simple. Revenge is sweet.
Netflix says users can access the feature on the web, Android, and iOS devices.
Although the streaming company angled this new feature launch towards people going on holiday and forgetting to sign out of their accounts on hotel or friends’ TVs, per MyBroadband, it will absolutely allow you to boot all those unwanted users out of your account.
Old roommates and annoying family members included.
This feature will especially come in handy when Netflix cracks down on passwords by making you pay for sharing them willy-nilly.
We don’t know when the hammer will come down, but Netflix has said that it will roll out its approach to “monetise account sharing” in “early 2023”.
Better get booting.
