In case you didn’t know, Taylor Swift is going on her first stadium tour in five years from March 17 next year.
The presale for her Eras Tour kicked off on Tuesday and it was absolute chaos, with many Swifties (the name of the singer’s fans) having full-on meltdowns and comparing the sale to The Hunger Games and to Swift’s Midnights bonus track ‘The Great War’.
Bustle reported that fans who were lucky enough to receive Verified Fan codes for Ticketmaster’s TaylorSwiftTix presale logged on at 10AM sharp (in whatever their local timezone) to buy tickets.
Since Taylor is only one of the most popular pop stars on the planet, the site couldn’t handle the fans rushing in and started glitching constantly, making fans wait in massive queues for long hours thanks to repeated site crashes.
Only a select group of fans were invited to the November 15 Verified Fan Presale, and still, Ticketmaster managed to royally eff up.

BuzzFeed notes that Taylor was kind enough to add more shows to her already busy schedule to meet the demand but still the chaos ensued:
