Until recently, the most famous celebs you would likely see around Kalk Bay were Dale Steyn and Jeremy Loops.

If you headed out that way over the course of the past week, though, you may have noticed there’s a lot of action on the harbourfront.

Soon, reports began to circulate that various celebs had been spotted in the area, including Indiana Jones himself.

You’d be forgiving for writing those off as wishful thinking but I guess there’s a chance your aunt’s neighbour wasn’t talking bollocks because Harrison Ford might have been in town.

Other possible celeb sightings include Oscar winner Helen Mirren and Robert Patrick, perhaps best known as the baddie from Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

The Kalk Bay Harbour is being used as a filming location for the American Western television series, “1923.”

The series is about a family spanning two generations who struggle to survive through lawlessness, drought, prohibition and an epidemic of cattle theft. It serves as a prequel to the Paramount Network series, Yellowstone.

For the filming, older boats have filled the harbour and parts of the beachfront have been transformed to resemble what they might have looked like 100 years ago.

According to CapeTalk, Ford “has apparently been spotted by eagle-eyed fans in the pretty seaside suburb”, with a number messaging host Sara-Jayne Makwala King to share their sighting.

There’s still no concrete photographic evidence that we can find.

Fish Hoek High School, recently in the news for the wrong reasons, is being used as a base camp for the shoot:

The only confirmed sighting we have of Ford comes via The Daily Mail, which reports that he was seen “piloting one of his swanky private jets into Los Angeles on Friday afternoon” as part of his wife, Calista Flockhart’s 58th birthday:

The Chicago native looked handsome in a light blue dress shirt that was tucked into dark blue jeans and black sneakers.

Flockhart, who’s best known to many fans for her titular role as Ally McBeal (1997-2002) in the hit series, then exited the jet while leading one of family dogs on a leash…

It turns out the legendary actor picked up his mother-in-law in Tennessee on his way from New York to Los Angeles.

Okay, so you can likely write off sightings from Friday and over the weekend.
