Melinda French Gates is very much back in the game after her high-profile divorce from ex-husband Bill Gates.

Less than a year after splitting from the multi-billionaire, Melinda told CBS Mornings that she was “dipping her toe” back into the dating pool and definitely “open to finding love again”.

Little did anyone know that she would find a man The Daily Mail describes as a “tattooed ex-Fox News reporter hunk”.

Melinda was spotted with Jon Du Pre at a Brooklyn Nets basketball game in April of this year and apparently the 58-year-old philanthropist and 63-year-old communications specialist have now been together for months:

It’s not clear how Melinda and Du Pre met, but TMZ reports they have also been spotted, along with other family members, at Pelican Hill — a 5-star hotel in Newport Beach, California.

Oooh, sexy.

Du Pre, a former correspondent for Fox News, is now a Strategic Communications Specialist, according to his LinkedIn profile.

The Prodigal Father author also has three kids of his own which he shares with his ex-wife, Gina.

There are his sons Kasey and Jonny, who graduated from Brigham Young University, and daughter Jessie, who graduated from the University of Utah, according to Page Six.

Melinda and Bill had three children together – Jennifer, 25, Rory, 23, and Phoebe, 19.

Melinda has shared some details about the “unbelievably painful” divorce, and also mentioned that Bill’s association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein played a pivotal role in their relationship ending:

‘I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein. I made that clear to him,’ she said, adding that she met Epstein one time because she ‘wanted to see who he was.’

‘I regretted it from the second I stepped in the door,’ she continued. ‘He was abhorrent, evil personified. I had nightmares about it afterwards.

10 years into their marriage, rumours began to spread about Bill having an affair with a Microsoft staffer, but Melinda said that had nothing to do with why they decided to divorce.

Anyway, she looks to be moving on to better and hunkier things.

Let’s hope her new squeeze isn’t just after her sizeable fortune.
