It seems TikTok has become a haven for celebs to come out as bisexual.
Madonna did it, Shay Mitchell did it, and so, it appears, did Emily Ratajkowski.
The double-takes were numerous when Emily took part in the TikTok trend that sees users respond to the question “if you identify as bisexual, do you own a green velvet couch” by panning to her own green couch.
Emily seems to have deleted that video from her profile, per Tyla, but she’s teased the concept out more in her November 2022 cover interview with Harper’s BAZAAR.
EmRata, as the model calls herself on social media, not only stoked the fire by alluding to being bi, but also said that she honestly can’t believe anyone isn’t:
“I think sexuality is on a sliding scale,” she said. “I don’t really believe in straight people.”
The mum-of-one also explained how her outlook on dating has changed since breaking up with her husband of four years, Sebastian Bear-McClard.
Per a separate BAZAAR article, she said that this is the first time she’s ever been single, adding that she has “gone on dates” but isn’t necessarily seeing anyone exclusively just yet.
Rumours were circling that she and Brad Pitt were getting it on, but that was quickly dismissed when she was photographed kissing a different man on a recent date.
She explains her lessons in love:
“To use the TikTok phrase, I was a bit of a ‘pick-me girl’ in the sense that I wasn’t very good at deciding what I liked,” she said. “I really wanted to be chosen. It was hard for me to go on a date with someone and think about how much I did or didn’t like them. I would have been thinking about how they were perceiving me, what it meant, what they wanted from me, what it meant about my self-worth. I don’t have that anymore. So now it’s really fun to go to dinner with someone and be like, ‘Cool. I really enjoyed these parts of them. I really didn’t like these other parts.'”
The BAZAAR cover interview stresses that the supermodel and writer (last year she published My Body, a best-selling collection of essays about the one asset she learned to monetise early on) doesn’t need your approval, noting how she has a new baby, a new podcast (called High Low with EmRata), and a new outlook on life.

Besides having an “impossible body and beauty” according to her stylist, she’s also a multihyphenate, that’s for sure.
