The average person lives for around 26 000 days.
That means there are likely that many cups of coffee to make the days happen.
If you’re grinding the same old beans day in and day out, things will get really boring really quickly.
That’s why it is wise to shake things up, even if that means sipping on an espresso martini when the hour suits you. We’re here for a long time so we might as well make it a good time.
Lucky for all of us here on the tip of Africa, Deluxe Coffeeworks has been grindin’ day in and day out to bring us great tasting beans from around the world to try out.
The skilled coffee grinders have gone above and beyond their usual House Blend (boasting perfectly roasted beans from Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Brazil) to include three brand-new delicacies:

If my calculations are correct, that should keep you sorted for much of the next few (thousand) days ahead of you.
Zooming into the Honduras Las Nubes coffee, you’ll be treated to a bright and sweet bean with lively acidity, a soft body, and a smooth finish.
To make it even more tantalising, it has a rich chocolate foundation topped with a natural brown sugar sweetness and hints of caramel.
Yes, please, fill my days.
Then, there’s the Peru Chanchamayo coffee, hailing from the Chanchamayo Valley, which has a buxom full body and sweet acidity.
Peruvian coffees are unassuming and consistently well-rounded and this one has rich primary flavours of chocolate coupled with mellow notes of caramel and almonds.
If you’re in the mood for something a little more exotic then the Ethiopia Kefa coffee should be right up your alley. Ethiopian coffees boast bright fruity and floral flavour profiles and this gem from the Kefa Forest is no different.
Expect a higher acidity, light to medium body, and notes of berries and dusted cocoa, topped with a smidge of honey to finish.
That’ll certainly go down well.
You can grab all of the above and more via the Deluxe Coffeeworks online shop or in selected stores. There’s one on Buitenkant Street, Church Street, and Kloof Street in the Cape Town CBD, as well as in Bo Kaap, Stellenbosch, and Paarden Eiland.
Now go on and live those 26 000-odd days to the fullest, which really means sufficiently caffeinated in this instance.
