As far as Ghislaine Maxwell’s legal team is concerned, aiding and abetting decades of sex trafficking and the abuse of underage girls and women isn’t really that bad.
In June, she was sentenced to 20 years in prison on child sex trafficking charges, with five years of supervised release, which her lawyers have since appealed.
The court of public opinion doesn’t decide such matters. That being said, it’s not exactly going to help that Netflix is set to release Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich on November 25:
Discover the monster behind the monster. From filmmakers behind Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich go beyond the headlines of the Ghislaine Maxwell case to tell the definitive story of Epstein’s mysterious accomplice, illuminating how her class and privilege concealed her predatory nature.
The Jeffrey Epstein Netflix series mentioned above pulled no punches (just ask Prince Andrew) and the same is expected from director Lisa Bryant, who was joined by award-winning filmmaker Maiken Baird for the documentary.
I have zero sympathy for this woman so go to town, Netflix.
Maxwell is set to spend the next period of her life inside Tallahassee’s Federal Correctional Institute in Florida. According to The Daily Mail, she has become ‘obsessed’ with playing softball:
…she has started playing competitive games, representing her prison wing.
Inmates have now dubbed the child sex trafficker ‘Dottie’ – after the character in the baseball movie A League of Their Own…
Although she once attended the most lavish events and consorted with the likes of Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton, she is now a key player in her B South unit’s softball team, beating bitter rivals A South unit and another wing.
Hey, at least she’s winning. The same outcome is unlikely in her appeal against that 20-year sentencing.
She’s also been spotted jogging in the yard of the low-security prison. That’s more exercise than Prince Andrew is getting in these days while he hides away at Royal Lodge.
