Who knew the COVID-19 pandemic would have given us something that has become fashionable?

You know, the sort of style that can be quite versatile, chic and most importantly, comfortable. Lately, we’ve noticed that more and more people are sporting their finest pyjamas.

This development of style comes from the most honest and charitable place, you know, the place where your heart really lies – home.

For close to two years, many of us were confined to our homes. It became the place where everything happened, from working remotely, to socialising, and everything in between.

We didn’t have to dress to the nines. All we sought was comfort.

Now, we still don’t have to be ostentatious. We can show off our unique style in a casual yet cool way as it’s become acceptable to don stylish loungewear, a term used to describe elegant pyjamas, in public:

Particularly if you’re a fan of a roomy dress shirt, wide-leg pants, robes or loafers, dressing up has never been this fun, casual, and effortless.

Many fashion designers all over the world have taken the time to craft great silhouettes using materials such as silk, linen, and cashmere. It’s all rather bed-like, really.

According to Robb Report, Umit Benan said “For me, it’s a styling element that breaks up the seriousness of the classic world,” he says. “I don’t like perfection. I have always liked the idea of being just out of bed but in the streets.”  

The best thing we can do now is to forget about emulating looks from the catwalk and rather embrace stepping out as if we’ve just rolled out of bed.
