As is apparently necessary these days, a president must visit the site of the latest natural disaster to show support.
President Joe Biden was in Fort Myers, Florida, yesterday to see firsthand the devastation wrought by Hurricane Ian.
The official death toll in Florida from the hurricane has climbed to 72. Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno told Good Morning America that deaths could range into the hundreds and it’s likely to become the state’s deadliest hurricane since 1935.
Fort Myers was hit particularly hard and Biden was given a tour by Fort Myers Beach Mayor Ray Murphy.
His hot mic picked up an interesting exchange:
That’s correct – he said, “no one f*cks with a Biden”.
It has provided cannon fodder for those familiar with the ‘Dark Brandon’ meme, reports Newsweek.

Mayor Murphy later laughed about the exchange, saying, “It was not directed at anybody. It was just two guys talking.”
Having spent years bashing Biden’s leadership, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was suddenly full of praise for the president.
Good stuff, Joe. Now hang up your boots and let someone younger have a go at leading the US in 2024.
