Streaker At NFL Game Never Stood A Chance [Videos]

When you streak at a professional sports match, you know you’re liable to be hit with a large fine for your troubles.

Streak in the NFL, however, and you’re liable to be hit by two linebackers who have no time for your shenanigans.

During Monday Night Football’s match between the Los Angeles Rams and hosts the San Francisco 49ers, which the home side won 24-9, a fan ran across the field with a device letting out pink smoke.

He had successfully managed to avoid security before Bobby Wagner and Rams teammate Takkarist McKinley stepped to offer a hand.

Bang – down he went:

That’s a tackle straight out of the Owen Farrell / Marika Koroibete playbook.

Wagner told ESPN he wasn’t taking any chances:

“That’s not making a play,” Wagner said. “That’s just keeping it safe. You don’t know what that fan got or what they’re doing. You see it all the time, and we don’t know what they’re carrying in their pockets. It’s whatever that little smoke stuff is, but that s— could be dangerous.

“One of the guys on the other side, it looked like he got hurt, and security looked like he was struggling, so I was frustrated, so I took it out on him.”

Play silly games, and win silly prizes.

The pink smoke led to a few gender reveal zingers on Twitter:

I agree wholeheartedly. Tweet of the day, however, goes to sports journalist Mina Kimes:
