Cool, then you probably don’t need to bother much with tracking Eskom’s announcements and reeling in horror when a few thousand Megawatts drop off the power grid.

Then there’s the fact that Cape Town’s load shedding schedule is different to the rest of the country’s.

Anyway, let’s just get the basics out of the way via MyBroadband:

Eskom has announced there will be stage 4 load-shedding during the evening peaks of 16:00 to 24:00 this week.

Stage 3 load-shedding will happen during the remaining 16 hours of each day until Thursday.

The state-owned power utility will publish an update on Wednesday afternoon, or sooner if necessary.

As for Cape Town, we’re sitting relatively pretty:

Put simply, we are at stage one today until 4PM and then stage three for the rest of the day. That will be repeated tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Northern Cape towns of Kleinzee and Koingnaas have no load shedding at all due to “a quirk of history”. You can read about that here.
