At least six suspects, many of whom were armed, entered a Vodacom store in a Durban mall over the weekend and robbed the shop, staff, and customers.
Police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo said via IOL that the report makes note of the six suspects accosting an employee in the store in Windermere Centre, Morningside, at midday on Sunday, September 11.
Ngcobo said that a case of robbery was opened at Berea police station for investigation.
In a video doing the rounds on social media, you can see the robbery is orchestrated at gunpoint. The suspects took all they could and then fled the scene:
Vodacon Windermere Centre in Durban robbed yesterday (Sunday) by 6 armed assailants. They seem to be hitting the malls now, I guess early Xmas shopping is in order. @bat12i @Just_A_Driver24 @TheFarEastFiles

It’s assumed that the man walking into the store at the beginning is a customer, who was made to lie face-down while the suspects continued their rampage.
A staff member is then assaulted by some of the robbers, has a gun pointed directly at her, and is then dragged to the back room.
CCTV footage of the back room shows five robbers filling a large bag with whatever was in the lockable cages, before making off as quickly as they could.
