The Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques (FISM) World Championship of Magic has been held in a different location every three years since 1952.
For the first time ever, this year’s competition was held on North American soil when Quebec welcomed the world’s finest magicians for the 28th FISM world champs.
According to Magician Masterclass, FISM represents more than 80 000 magicians across six continents and 106 countries and provides magicians with the opportunity to compete for the title “World Champion Magician”.
In the Card Magic category, France’s Markobi claimed the title, with Pere Rafart of Spain in second and American Erik Tait in third.
