When it comes to the battle for grocery app dominance we have ourselves a very clear winner – Checkers Sixty60.

Checkers hit the ground running, gaining an advantage over the likes of Woolworths and Woolies Dash.

A report from May showed that CheckersSixty60 made up three-quarters of all on-demand grocery delivery spend in South Africa.

The company’s marketing push has also been praised and we have to doff our caps to the latest effort, featuring Glen Biderman-Pam as Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber.

I don’t think we need to explain much more so roll the tape:

Did you notice the dig at Pick n Pay ASAP! towards the end there? Of course, you did.

That reference to dashing around the outside is clearly poking fun at Woolies Dash, too.

There’s no harm in crushing some brandewyn this weekend while cheering on the Bokke. Just make sure you don’t hop behind the wheel afterwards, please.
