Cara Delevingne will be deep-diving into some of the biggest questions around human sexuality in a new six-part documentary.
The wacky supermodel-turned-actress is producing and presenting Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne for Hulu and BBC Three, promising her own personal exploration and education about sex, too.
Besides putting her “mind and body on the line” as she takes part in experiments and demonstrations in world-renowned research labs, as the streamer puts it, she will also be visiting diverse communities to investigate other people’s personal stories about sex.
Hulu further described the docuseries as an exploration of sexuality’s “joys, mysteries, and constantly changing nature”. It added that “there’s no limit on how far Cara’s willing to go to explore what makes us all human”.
Sheesh, relax.
Some of the key questions explored in the series will relate to our gender, sexual orientation, relationships, and the popularity of pornography, with Cara’s “charisma, curiosity and lived experience” making her the perfect guide on the fascinating, yet often, taboo subjects.
The 28-year-old has been frank about her own sexuality, identifying as pansexual in 2020, which means she is attracted to people regardless of their biological sex, gender, or gender identity:
“I never really came out,” she told British Vogue in July. “It was more that I just decided that I was done with being in the closet, I was done with being ashamed for who I loved and who I was. So, for me, it was just being like love is love and we should be able to love who we want.”
She said that she is excited to have more honest and personal conversations in Planet Sex, especially “as someone who struggled for years to understand my sexual identity”.
Cara is known for her “uniquely unfiltered and authentic” nature, as was so visibly on display when hung out with Megan Thee Stallion at the Billboard Music Awards, so the series should deliver on the goods.
Since there is no trailer to show you, you can watch Cara explain her bizarre behaviour at the awards show. Cara will be Cara:
