On August 28, around 80 000 revellers will descend on the Black Rock Desert in Nevada for Burning Man 2022.
Their minds will be blown, their lives will be changed, and then they’ll return home to a world that doesn’t, like, understand what they went through.
Have a braai with a bunch of people who have just returned from AfrikaBurn for the first time and you’ll get it.
Anyway, there’s nothing wrong with flying your freak flag and expanding your mind and wanting to leave behind the constraints of modern society.
For example, I can’t believe it’s only Thursday and am dreaming of retiring to a seaside village where I can trade foraged shells for sustenance.
