You’re looking at a popular naturist spot in the Grand Parc Miribel-Jonage, a leisure site and nature reserve on the outskirts of Lyon, in the image above.

Naturists as in those who enjoy frolicking in the sun and sea nude.

France apparently has designated beaches where nudity is often required in order to prohibit perverts from causing problems.

Over this weekend, some liberties were taken to the extreme, though, resulting in death.

A 75-year-0ld man, a regular nudist in the area and described as someone “who often discouraged bad behaviour on the beach”, allegedly shot and killed a 46-year-old man, who witnesses described as an “exhibitionist”.

The elderly nudist – whose identity is being protected in accordance with French privacy laws – had reportedly become annoyed by the younger man, who had been flouting numerous rules.

The Independent reports that he had shouted insults at beachgoers and performed a sex act while staring at a woman, while The Daily Beast reported that he had been a nuisance earlier in the morning.

He was caught masturbating into the water in front of other sunbathers:

The victim had reportedly fondled his erection while deliberately staring at a female nudist when an argument broke out between the men.

The shooter then took his registered hunting pistol from his beach bag and shot the younger man, police say.

“There was an altercation between a man and a woman, and another individual got involved,” the public prosecutor of Bourg-en-Bresse, Christophe Rode, told French television.

Police, who patrol the area on bicycles, heard the three gunshots and rushed to the scene where they tried to revive the exhibitionist.

With a shot to the chest, they were unable to do so.

The suspect gave himself up to the police without resistance and has been accused of deliberate homicide.

Although, he might be able to escape a prison sentence because of his age.
