The virality of Haim’s fascinating dance moves that launched a thousand memes has dissipated and now, Justin Timberlake is taking over.
No, the musician is not bringing sexy back at all. Instead, he is bringing sorry back.
Timberlake attempted a famous dance called the “Beat Ya Feet dance” onstage at the Something in the Water music festival, which took place on Washington’s Independence Avenue between June 17 and June 19.
Somehow, he just ended up looking like he had stepped in some dog turd and was trying to get it off. His fashion choices didn’t exactly help, either.
Fans and the like were not impressed, which prompted the ‘Cry Me a River’ singer to publicly apologise to the whole of Washington, DC in an Instagram Story, per The New York Post.
Alright, here’s the dance, with Justin looking notably dad-core in those khaki pants:

Some reactions from irate fans:
JT did not just say “beat your feet” and proceed to river dance & skip. Boy if you don’t get your ass off the stage. FOH 😂😂 #SITW

And here’s Justin’s sterling apology over his two seemingly left feet:

Maybe it would help his fans to note that the festival was riddled with technical issues from the start.
Apparently, it was so disorganised that performances did not happen on time and there was a heavy influx of traffic.
Fine, fans can forgive Justin for his moves, but those khakis on the other hand are unforgivable.
