The three sisters who make up the band Haim – Alana, Danielle, and Este – have just launched a thousand memes across Twitter.
The Los Angeles music trio performed at the Boston Calling music festival in Massachusetts and shared their quirky ‘I Know Alone’ dance number centerstage.
The sequence involves the three sisters twisting, shimmying, and whipping their hair around, all while dressed in black pleather pants with matching bra tops, in unbelievable sync, reported Paper Mag.
The sisters’ slow in-sync movements have become an integral part of their music videos, but I suppose people were a bit shook when their usual routine was revved up on stage.
The reactions have landed between awe, amusement, and wild disbelief:

Mostly, though, they were so in control that it was almost mesmerising:
I’m mesmerised, it’s so robotic and rehearsed but I could also 100% believe they just did this out of nowhere https://t.co/THkJfQ4X0f

Haim has been releasing some quirky, ear-wormy snippets of their lives on social media recently, and this recent dance routine is no different.
I still can’t get their TikTok Oscars “we’re gonna be hangover” song out of my head and now neither will you:

Despite all the confusion and hate, the real fans will get it.
Their aesthetic is a part of that whole dad-core, norm-core, you’re allowed to show up minimalistic and still succeed vibe that’s taken to some corner of TikTok.
As one Haim fan account pointed out, the dance is the same one featured in the music video for ‘I Know Alone’ and is “meant to depict a song” and not be “sexy or cool”.
Indeed, the original dance is just a slower version really:
Check out the actual music video. The dance goes along with the lyrics, it isn’t meant to be sexy or cool. It’s meant to depict a song. Y’all weird though because they still look cool doing it https://t.co/yIhoWxqu0D

Sorry, but no amount of facts is going to stifle the barrage of memes.
It’s part of the fun and I am sure Haim will take it as such. Hopefully.
