Amber Heard is currently in the midst of a $50 million defamation case brought against her by Johnny Depp and has countersued for $100 million.

Both parties have taken the stand and outlined, often in excruciating detail, accusations against one another.

Heard mentioning Kate Moss was also a slip-up in the eyes of Depp’s lawyers, who could be seen celebrating the moment Depp’s former partner was mentioned.

Last week, Heard’s cross-examination came to an end on Tuesday in the Fairfax, Virginia courtroom.

Those using hashtags like #amberturd aren’t exactly sitting on the fence, and Newsweek wants us to believe that Tuesday’s courtroom action showed Heard’s legal team has given up:

As Heard was being questioned by her own attorney Elaine Bredehoft, Vasquez repeatedly objected to the testimony as hearsay and lacking evidence.

Bredehoft conceded that she had no more questions and the judge told Heard to go and sit with her counsel.

The battle may be a legal one but there’s another war of public opinion playing out on social media.

Instead of sitting with her legal counsel, Heard left the courtroom.

Some might say that’s giving up, while others may argue she was emotional because she just had to describe, in great detail, the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of her former husband and then be cross-examined by his lawyers.

Another widely shared moment on social media involved a court observer laughing uncontrollably during a sidebar and leaving the courtroom.

The moment happened after multiple objections were made by Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez, when Heard was under redirect examination from her attorney.
