Yeah, so, Prince Harry is acting now.
He’s not at all bad actually, following in wife Meghan Markle’s footsteps as he performs in a video skit promoting his eco-travel non-profit organisation (NPO), Travalyst.
“While travellers have long been able to rate their holiday stay, Travalyst is now asking: How would your holiday rate you?” a release on the company’s website reads, offering New Zealanders a travel rating tool that encourages sustainable holiday-making.
The video features the Duke of Sussex in workout clothes and a “Girl Dad” T-shirt, jogging in what is supposed to be a lush Kiwi forest, but is actually in California.
He is then bombarded by “rating agents” who begin reviewing his previous trip to New Zealand, subtly mentioning all the ways you can get an excellent rating.
Take a moment:
Yes, Harry did speak a few words in Te Reo Māori, the language of the Indigenous Polynesian people of mainland New Zealand, per Harper’s Bazaar:
The duke has long voiced his love of the culture and told TV program Te Ao with Moana, “The Māori culture inherently understands sustainable practices and taking better care of our life-giving land, which are critical lessons we can all learn, and that is why I’m here with you to share a new kaupapa.”
Launched in 2019 and partnering with key travel industry giants including Booking.com, Ctrip, Skyscanner, Tripadvisor, and Visa, Travalyst’s aim is to “spark a movement to transform the future of travel, putting communities at the heart of the solution”:

So littering is off the cards, while using fewer towels at the hotel, not letting the water run while brushing your teeth, interacting with the local community, and buying local produce are all ways to get more stars.
Good stuff.
