The men at the helm of South African aircraft maker Sling Aircraft are clearly excited about the impending release of 'Top Gun: Maverick'.

17 days.

Can you feel it?

Following delay after delay, we are just 17 days away from the release of Top Gun: Maverick.

I expect an uptick in both the sale of Aviator sunnies and quotes from the 1986 original (“Slider, you stink”), and the odd game of volleyball breaking out on Clifton Fourth (jeans mandatory).

South African aircraft maker Sling Aircraft is clearly excited. This morning, a video featuring Mike Blyth and James Pitman debuted on YouTube.

The founder and chairman respectively are no strangers to adventure. In 2009, the original yellow Sling 2 (known as ZU-TAF) flew Mike and James around the world on a 40-day, 45 000-kilometre journey.

Now the pair are fantasising about acting in a Hollywood aviation blockbuster.

Excellent work, chaps.
