A driver, with a record for speeding in and around New Mexico, was believed to be going upwards of 175 kilometres per hour when he suddenly crashed into a school bus.
A total of 23 middle-school children, aged 11 to 13, were on the bus at the time.
Thankfully, everyone survived, although seven were rushed to hospital and two were severely injured.
US police released a video from the perspective of inside the bus, capturing the horrible moment when the students started screaming as they were flung around.

Sky News reported that the accident happened on February 23 in southwest Albuquerque, in the afternoon as the children were going home:
The bus driver reportedly told police he was on his normal route when the vehicle was suddenly struck at a junction.
…A statement from Albuquerque police said: “Through the on-scene investigation it was learned that a white Ford Mustang was racing a blue Ford Mustang.
“One witness estimated they hit speeds of approximately 110 miles per hour. The posted speed limit for the area of the crash is 40 miles per hour. “
The man was charged with two counts of “great bodily harm with a vehicle”.
