It would be wrong to call what happened on an evening flight from San Francisco to Florida on Wednesday night a fight.
After all, and unsurprisingly, the guy on the receiving end of Mike Tyson’s fury didn’t land a punch. At least he left with both ears intact.
The former heavyweight world champion was originally asked for a photo by his fellow passenger and obliged, but finally lost his cool when the guy continued to harass him.
TMZ reports that Tyson walked off the plane seconds after dishing out the punches:
We’re told the man who was punched received medical attention and then went to the police over the incident…
Cops added, though, that after one of the people was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, that person “provided minimal details of the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation.”
…Sources close to Mike claim the man was extremely intoxicated … and wouldn’t stop provoking the boxer in his seat.
A member of Tyson’s team has also claimed that he had a bottle of water thrown at him prior to losing his cool.
Everybody knows Tyson as a brawler, but he has been trying to turn over a new leaf. In fact, he was in San Francisco on Wednesday at the 420 Hippie Hill event in Golden Gate Park to promote his cannabis brand.
A fellow passenger captured the before, the during, and the after of the incident:
It appears the punched passenger is relatively young.
Maybe he missed the peak of Tyson’s boxing career, but surely he’s seen The Hangover?
Wait for it, wait for it, bang:
I’m still waiting on an apology for the insult that was The Hangover Part III.
The former boxer’s plane aggression is quite an about-turn from an incident last month. He had a gun pulled on him at a comedy club and ended up hugging it out with the man.
