Being the world’s richest person comes at a certain price.
Every aspect of your private life is picked apart, but all in all, I’d say the benefits outweigh the cons.
Elon Musk certainly provides ample fodder for news outlets with some of his tweets and actions. We can tell from his appearance on Saturday Night Live last year that he’s often in on the joke.
That being said, his ongoing attempts to buy Twitter haven’t gone done too well across the board and he was the target of a few zingers on US late-night television.
SNL hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost roasted Elon during their Weekend Update running segment. Newsweek reports:
Jost and Che joked about Musk’s ongoing potential takeover of Twitter. Jost alluded to Meghan and Harry while questioning why the Tesla and SpaceX founder would bother trying to purchase the social network…
Jost concluded the bit with a self-deprecating joke about his purchase of a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry along with Pete Davidson.
That’s Pete Davidson who is currently dating Kim Kardashian. You may have heard of them.

At least Elon can rest easy knowing that he was far from the show’s only target.
The opening bit took aim at Musk, Anthony Fauci, Britney Spears’ baby news, Marjorie Taylor Greene, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, and Jared Leto:

As is customary, the former US president made an appearance, this time played by James Austin Johnson:

It’s all fun and games until he runs again for the presidency in 2024.
Having watched a few of the sketches, I reckon this examination of the intense lyric-writing process behind The Black Eyed Peas’ biggest hits is my favourite:

I could happily go the rest of my life without hearing ‘I Gotta Feeling’ again.
