The last time we checked in with Princess Charlene, she was celebrating her 44th birthday in a supposed addiction treatment facility at an undisclosed location outside Monaco.

She has since left that facility and was able to spend some quality time with her twin children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, as well as her husband, Prince Albert, over the Easter weekend.

She shared a picture of the family together, per Hello Magazine, poolside with an Easter basket to the side. This is the first photo released since November when Charlene posted a picture of her return to Monaco (that picture up top).

She spent most of last year away, either grounded in South Africa due to medical complications or in the treatment facility outside Monaco, so a relatively happy moment with her family was due:

As you can imagine, the rare behind-the-scenes family photos were picked apart by ‘body language experts’ and nosy fans trying to read into the family dynamic.

Body language expert Judi James via The Express analysed the family’s poses, facial expressions, and mood, deducing that Charlene appears “affectionate” while Albert looks “rigid & awkward”.

Cool, we know so much more now.

While rumours about the strain in Charlene and Albert’s relationship have been whispered far and wide, there is no way to actually know what goes on behind closed doors.

I am afraid that reading into a family photograph is hardly a way in.
