Of course, Piers Morgan has something to say about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s ongoing “soap opera” legal battle.
Whenever there’s an opportunity to hurl insults and inflammatory words at someone (shame, mostly Meghan Markle), Piers will be there.
He appears to have a new target for his vitriol, for the moment at least, calling Depp and Heard “supreme narcissists”, reported The Independent.
The pair’s high-profile, $50 million defamation lawsuit is currently playing out in a Virginia courtroom.
We covered the need-to-know details of day one here. You can read a summary of day two here.
Back to Piers, if we must:
In an opinion column for the New York Post, Morgan wrote: “I can honestly say that the number of f***s I give about this shamelessly deluded and self-obsessed pair of whiny wastrels could be written on the back of Mycoplasma genitalium, the planet’s smallest living organism.”
Some creative insults, I’ll give that to him:
Later in the piece, he wrote: “Depp and Heard hate each other with a passion that makes Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt look like an ad for loving harmony. At the heart of this hatred lies one indisputable fact: They’re both supreme narcissists.”
The divisive ex-Good Morning Britain host accused the pair of “playing the victim at a time when there are millions of real victims suffering from war, a killer virus, and crippling rises in the cost of living”.
I hate to admit it, but he might actually be on to something – as “divisive” as he is.
He finished as follows:
I can’t think of anyone less deserving of my sympathy than this gruesome twosome trapped in their own pathetically delusional, horribly selfish, toddler-tantrum world.
“I feel so sorry for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.”
Said absolutely nobody.
Cool,
Good hustle, everybody.
As you were.
