We have waited long enough for more from the kids of Hawkins and their 1980s adventures.
Season three of Stranger Things hit our screens in July 2019, and now, a year after getting a sneak peek of season four from the teaser trailer, Netflix will hand over the goods.
But first, we get a full official trailer – one that The Verge feels “teases a guitar battle in the Upside Down”.
That sounds light, but based on all these sneak peeks and teasers, including some that trickled in from the cast and crew, the new season should be even darker than its predecessors.
The world of Stranger Things will also extend well beyond Hawkins, so we can expect the latest adventures to be absolutely epic:
While Stranger Things has explored the larger world outside of Hawkins, Indiana, in the past, the show’s fourth season is set to switch things up by splitting its story across a handful of disparate, important locations.
Though the story will presumably return to the Upside Down and catch up with Jim Hopper in Russia, Stranger Things’ first season four trailer makes clear that a significant part of its next chapter will unfold in California, where Joyce and the rest of the Byers family have moved.
Trailer, please:
The Bryce Miller Alloy/Tracks remix of Journey’s ‘Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)’ song is everything.
Stranger Things season four will drop on Netflix in two parts on May 27 and July 1.
