A heartbroken Brighton teenager has just been jailed for a disturbingly thought-out murder plan for her ex-boyfriend.
Sophie George, 18 at the time, was deeply hurt by her suspicions that her lover, Adam Yiosese had been sleeping with other women.
So she dug a grave and filled black bags with a “murder kit” so that she could take her revenge.
She even simplified the crime with a meticulous and “disturbing” hand-written note that plotted out each step, from kidnapping, torturing, killing, burying, and cleaning up the crime scenes.
Shame, the list even has the question “drive to girls?” at some stage, which we can only assume is referring to the other women Yiosese allegedly had relations with:
The Lewes Crown Court heard how she had packed bags full of things like protective clothing, bleach and other cleaning equipment, duct tape, and a Stanley knife:
Here are more “sinister” contents of the bags she had stored:
On October 10, 2020, she got Yiosese to pick her up, which is when she planned to lure him to the house where she had stored the bags, The Telegraph reported:
George insisted he then drive them to a nearby park. However, he resisted, and she grabbed the wheel on several occasions to try to force him to go in the direction she wanted.
When the pair reached Selsfield Drive, next to the A270 which runs through Brighton, she pulled out a knife and threatened Mr Yiosese. A struggle began, which spilled out of the van he was driving and into the street. He was able to throw the knife into a bush.
When he called the police, George attacked him again, biting his finger so hard that she punctured the skin and left a wound that exposed bone.
Yiosese is now 23, having survived after managing to overpower his ex-lover – something George certainly did not factor in with her simple plan.
George is 20 at the moment and is serving 13 and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Here’s Judge Christine Henderson on George’s sentence:
“It seems from all I have read in this case, that you were fixated and consumed by revenge as you considered the victim had been seeing other women.
“You went to meticulous lengths to plan your attack. It is clear you knew what you were doing was wrong, and your planning included evading responsibility and detection.”
Detective Superintendent Jon Hull, of Sussex Police, also confirmed that George had devised a “cold, premeditated plan to kidnap, torture and murder an innocent man, with clear steps to then cover up the crime.”
There were signs of an “imbalance” in their relationship, as George was “socially isolated and had a difficult home life”, according to Graeme Wilson, in the defence.
