Apparently, this one of a kind documentary featuring guest star William Shatner (the Star Trek actor who went to space with Jeff Bezos) will “show the public what’s really happening in our skies with UFOs”.
That’s according to Jim Martin, head of paranormal acquisitions for 1091 Pictures, the film studio releasing A Tear In The Sky.
Caroline Cory is the writer, director, and producer of this doccie that takes a “Mythbusters-style approach” as a team of leading scientists use state-of-the-art equipment and technology to figure out the mysteries of the sky.
What starts out as an effort to recreate the famous “Tic Tac” UFOs spotted by the US Navy off the coast of California in 2004 soon turns into “thought-provoking clues into the true nature of the UFO phenomenon and the very fabric of our spacetime reality”.
The first line of the synopsis claims that the documentary is award-winning, adding that it will “take you on an unprecedented journey into the UFO / UAP phenomenon”.
SYFY had one of the first looks at the trailer, which shows Shatner full of dramatic exclamations about how “CA-razy” it all is:
Alongside Shatner, Professor Michio Kaku (PhD), Travis Taylor, Gary Voorhis, Kevin Knuth (PhD), Matthew Szydagis (PhD), and Kevin Day are also featured in the documentary:
Day was a Chief Operations Specialist working for the Navy aboard the USS Nimitz who spotted the “Tic Tac” UFO on radar. He would later claim that the data was confiscated and suppressed by the government.
Posting on Facebook last year, Day alleged that no one in the Department of Defense would listen to him — right up to the day he resigned his post five years later in 2009.
Cory said that all of the data collected during filming will be released publicly along with a university researched paper for peer-review, and will make “history beyond any government or organizations investigating the subject.”
With the doccie set to be released on Digital and VOD on May 3, media coverage has been relatively quiet. This begs the question, did they actually find anything?
