It’s the sheer brazenness of the three would-be robbers that I find most disturbing about this video below.
On the other hand, props to the Durban resident who strolled out of his home with a pellet gun, pointed it at the three men, and shepherded them off the property.
CCTV footage of the incident in Newlands, a suburb near Durban, shows the men popping the electric gate off its rails to gain entry.
TimesLIVE reports:
As soon as they are inside, a young man approaches them with a gun.
The footage shows the three men quickly exiting the property, with one appearing to apologise as he retreats.
The home owner, who did not want to be named, told TimesLIVE her 28-year-old son used a pellet gun to send the trio packing.
You’ll see him enter the fray around the 30-second mark wearing a Liverpool jersey.
Still in the hunt for a quadruple this season and nerves of steel in this encounter:

How’s the casual ‘sorry about all of this’ hands gesture’?
The homeowner said her son was home alone on Saturday afternoon when he spotted the men on the security camera.
There’s no mention of a criminal case being opened.
