Selling ‘The One’, a Los Angeles mega-mansion that has been touted as America’s most expensive home, has been quite the challenge.
But it finally has a winning buyer who managed to outbid four other people to splurge on the one of a kind Bel Air mansion.
Richard Saghian, the owner of the fast-fashion business Fashion Nova, forked out $141 million to get his hands on this home, which falls a little (a lot, actually) short of the estate’s $295 million list price.
Oh well, it is sold, and I am sure property developer Nile Niami is beyond relieved.
Per Fortune, the bidding occurred on Thursday, while the identity of the bidder remained secret until Saghian was revealed as the new owner over the weekend:
“There is nothing else like it,” Saghian, 40, said in a statement.
“As a lifelong Angeleno and avid collector of real estate, I recognized this as a rare opportunity that also lets me own a unique property that is destined to be a part of Los Angeles history.”
Saghian is also the owner of a $14,7 million Malibu beach house purchased from Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, and a $17,5 million home in the Hollywood Hills.
Clearly, he is a baller:

Although, his net worth has caused some confusion as nobody has really been able to put a finger on exactly how much he has tucked away.
The sale of this house has shed some light on the matter, via HITC:
As per MD Daily Record, The Sun, and other outlets, Richard has an estimated net worth of $50 million. However, given that he bought the $141 million mansions, we can expect it to be much higher than this.
The publication didn’t provide any solid answer but it likely lies in the success of Saghian’s company.
Saghian started Fashion Nova in 2006 as a chain of stores that focused on selling low-price clothes in shops and malls, which extended into e-commerce websites from 2013.
The company has since been associated with celebrities like Cardi B and Lil Nas X and has seen annual sales exceed $1 billion.
It seems The One will act as a marketing tool for the company, serving as a backdrop for influencers and celebs to further bolster Saghian’s wealth.
With 21 bedrooms, 42 bathrooms, five swimming pools, a 30-car garage, a bowling alley, a movie theatre, a spa, a golf course, and a 930-square-metre sky deck with 360-degree views over Los Angeles, it should do the trick.
