How ‘Deep South’ would you be willing to live?
For some Capetonians, Muizenberg is about as far as they’ll venture.
Maybe Kalk Bay on a Sunday for brekkie but dare suggest Kommetjie and you might get a quizzical look.
That’s fine, more for those who can get away with working remotely and want some bang for their buck.
We’ve dabbled in Scarborough property before (very much beyond the ‘lentil curtain’). This time, we’re taking a closer look at a four-bedroom villa set across two plots on the ocean side of Hilltop Street.
R12,8 million isn’t a steal, sure, so here’s Property24 to really sell the place:
…this extensive and immaculate family home cleverly blends style and luxury with beach-house chic. Beautifully designed with privacy and security in mind, there is a passionate attention to detail and every corner of the property has been lovingly maintained to perfection.
Elegant open-plan living areas flow from the ocean facing deck at front, through the sleek, modern kitchen with Caesar Stone countertops, to a gorgeous, wind-protected braai deck at back, complete with pizza oven.
The luxurious master bedroom suite is an ode to comfort with a private balcony and large walk-in wardrobe that dreams are made of.
Each of the three other bedrooms is ensuite with an ocean view, as well as either balcony or garden access.
There’s a video tour so that you can take it all in:
Additional features include a home office, a recreation room for entertaining by the pool, a workshop, and “a secret greenhouse for all of your growing needs”.
The listing doesn’t mention that you’re almost certain to live within walking distance of somebody who makes their own CBD oils.
Deep South living is good living.
