High-profile figures and stalkers go hand in hand.
Usually, it’s a celebrity like Taylor Swift or Lilly Allen dealing with a crazed fan.
Heck, during the trial of Oscar Pistorius even Barry Roux was stalked by a ‘fan’ asking for an autograph, eventually relenting when the woman said she had taken the day off work to meet him.
In the case of Apple CEO Tim Cook, there are far more sinister forces at work, with court documents outlining just how crazed his female stalker had become.
The New York Post reports that she stalked him for more than a year, was willing to drive across country, and even sent pictures of a loaded gun:
The accused stalker had exhibited “erratic, threatening, and bizarre behavior” toward Cook, whom she claimed was the father of her twin children, according to court documents…
On Oct. 21, the woman allegedly trespassed onto Cook’s property, prompting the police to be notified…
On Halloween, she posted a dozen tweets stating that she was Cook’s wife. She is also alleged to have emailed Cook 200 times…
In November 2020, the accused stalker allegedly sent Cook a photograph of a pistol that was loaded with ammunition. She is alleged to have written that she had just purchased the weapon.
Prior to arriving at Cook’s condo in Palo Alto in October, having driven from Virginia, she mailed to say she was applying to be his roommate.
Another email stated, “my new gun will never return it at this time before I shoot.”
The stalker changed her last name to Cook on social media and often referred to Tim as “my hubby”.
Apple has also alleged that the woman opened fraudulent companies with highly offensive and homophobic names in which she would list Cook as a corporate officer or a director.
The companies, which were listed in California, New York, and Virgina, had names like “TIMOTHYLO & VEJULIA FOREVERMORE PHILANCLUB CORPORATION.”
She also opened a company that contained the words “Safe Sexclinic, Cook HIV” in its name.
Last Friday, a California judge granted a restraining order against the woman.
In the court documents, Apple stated that the woman “may be armed and is still in the South Bay Area”. The company is worried she could return to Cook’s home, or try and find him, “in the near future”.
More from NBC News:
The woman continued emailing and tweeting at Cook, asking in a message last month for $500 million cash and saying in a tweet this month that he would be “suicided in his condo,” the petition claims.
It’s alleged she threatened to burn down his home.
The restraining order means the woman is prohibited from possessing a gun or ammunition and interacting with any Apple employees, including Cook.
She is also banned from entering any Apple properties.
