You don’t ever want to see your name sandwiched between a woman just convicted of sex trafficking underage girls and the word ‘paedophile’.
How are things going on your side, Prince Andrew?
Even his own brother appears to have turned against him, and last night’s documentary, Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile, won’t have helped his cause.
We already knew about his strange teddy bear obsession and the fact that many believe he was romantically involved with Maxwell.
Aside from that, here are three things we learnt via The Independent:
The royal’s number appeared to be seen in Maxwell and Epstein’s ‘little black book’:
During one clip, [journalist Ranvir Singh] discovers an entry in the book under ‘Duke of York’, with Buckingham Palace, London, assigned as the address.
A number is also supplied, which the journalist proceeds to call.
It goes to voicemail and a message – the voice of which she said “sounds like Andrew” – said: “I’m afraid I have not been quick enough to get to the phone before it went off to take your message. If you do have a message, please leave it and I will get back to you as soon as I can.”
That’s a peak Boomer voicemail.
Also, it’s been more than two years since the ‘little black book’ became public knowledge and Andrew hasn’t bothered to change his number?
One of Maxwell’s jurors said the ‘brutal’ trial deliberations left them in tears while she was ‘like a stone’:
In an interview, Scotty David said: “There were tears, because this is somebody’s life on the line. The prosecution had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ghislaine Maxwell was guilty of these crimes.
“And we all felt comfortable, but the emotional toll it took on all of us after spending a week combing through all the evidence, all the testimony again, was, it was brutal.”
Ghislaine Maxwell was ‘essentially a pimp’, lawyer to Epstein’s survivors claimed:
Speaking in the ITV documentary, [laywer] Lisa Bloom said that the girls were not recruited by Epstein, but Ghislaine Maxwell.
She described Maxwell and Epstein’s operation as a “pyramid scheme, with Jeffery Epstein at the top, then Ghislaine, and then all the young girls.”
Bloom added that Maxwell was “essentially a pimp” and was also occasionally “directly involved in the sexual assault herself.”
Bloom represented eight Epstein victims during the trial against Maxwell and said she abused and took advantage of the girls’ trust.
It was also an unfortunate evening for Bill Clinton.
Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey featured and said that Epstein and Clinton “were like brothers”.
The Daily Mail below:
‘Clinton was definitely very close to Jeffrey,’ Lady Victoria said. ‘I don’t know if you saw the paintings that were in Jeffrey Epstein’s house? One of them being a portrait of Bill Clinton wearing the dress that Monica Lewinsky wore when they had the affair.
‘So yeah, he was super close to Jeffrey Epstein. They were like brothers, you know, and he was close to Ghislaine as well,’ the socialite said.
Lady Victoria also likened Epstein and Maxwell to Batman and Robin, saying they were “a double act”.
Just when you thought there couldn’t be a worse Batman than George Clooney or Ben Affleck.
Sarah Ransome, a survivor of sexual abuse, said Maxwell was worse than Epstein because “she broke the sisterhood, broke the bond, she was supposed to be protector and nurturer”.
Maxwell faces up to 65 years in prison and she deserves every last one of them.
