The Prada runway at the Fall Winter 2022 Menswear show in Milan was a bit of a throwback.

While Kyle MacLachlan (Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks) opened the show, Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park and The Budapest Hotel) closed it, both looking gorgeously badass.

But some of the younger attendees were apparently completely oblivious to the legendary strutter and saunterer who graced the Prada runway.

Goldblum has been in the spotlight on numerous occasions for his iconic fashion sense, with Highsnobiety crediting his “chaotic evil” style for stealing the show.

According to the Alignment System, a chart that determines your whole world view, “chaotic evil” is the philosophy that the self is best advanced through the freedom to act independently.

Yeah, Goldblum isn’t so far off:

There were some out there who misunderstood Goldblum’s assignment:

The show’s concept was to celebrate the sophistication of work attire again, with eight other actors, including Thomas Brodie-Sangster (from Love Actually), Asa Butterfield (Sex Education), Damson Idris (Snowfall), also walking the runway.

Goldblum once said to The Guardian that he’s like “one of these yogis who wanders the Earth with a diaper and a loincloth, a bowl and a spoon” because “I like not to be attached to anything”.

So while he is donning Prada’s idea of the ideal workman, his determined and chaotic gait, in line with his worldview, does well to remind us that he is his own person, no matter what.
