The last time the Jackass crew ‘graced’ the big screen was back in 2010 with Jackass 3D.
I guess they’ve had more than a decade to come up with new and exciting ways to inflict pain on one another.
Jackass Forever’s first trailer was released last July and revealed that many members of the original cast was back for more, including Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, Wee Man, Ehren McGhehey, Dave England, and Preston Lacy.
The film will also feature appearances by Machine Gun Kelly, Eric André, and Tyler, the Creator, among others.
What can we learn from the final trailer? Here’s Collider:
The new trailer gives us glimpses at the perilous pranks the new film crew will be involved in. As expected, we get to see Johnny Knoxville getting fired as a human cannonball while wearing angel wings, an image that’s been used to promote the upcoming sequel.
However, the new trailer also teases other explosive pranks, like the crew trying to turn a toilet into a rocket or standing in the middle of a field that’s being bombarded by military jet planes.
And if explosions are not enough for you, the new trailer also brings poisonous snakes, live tarantulas, electric wires applied to sensitive zones, and, of course, lots of punches in genitalia.
Par for the course. There must be pain inflicted upon the genital region. I think it’s written into their contracts.
At least 50-year-old Knoxville has a sense of his own mortality, confirming this is his final appearance as part of the crew and admitting that “you can only take so many chances before something irreversible happens”.
