A boat is one thing, a yacht is a lot, but yacht support boats carrying submarines and jet skis are on a whole other level.
I guess that’s the billionaire level for you.
Those guys have so many options for luxury adventure and leisure that it is not even funny. Although, all I can do is laugh.
Water toys are all the rage right now, with leisure submersibles, high-tech submarines, and jet skis being snapped up like never before.
The only thing is, they’re often too big to fit into the storage areas of yachts.
Cue the market for yacht support vessels, namely, ROAM Boats’ new line ROAM Shadow, which is there to provide all the damn space that a thrill-seeking yacht owner will need:
Per Luxury Launches the ROAM Shadow is described as the “ultimate toy carrier” and is available in two different sizes – 24 metres and 27 metres.
That is certainly more than enough space to carry all the toys that cannot be accommodated by the mothership:
The aft deck of the ROAM Shadow support vessel has an open area of 124 [square metres] which is big enough to fit a submarine, multiple jet skis, and large tenders.
The vessel also has an integrated crane to launch and recover all the water toys. It also has a hydraulic platform with a load capacity of around 2200 lbs [998 kilograms] that can be raised and lowered for launching items without the need for a crane.
In addition to that, the ROAM Shadow also has a fully-enclosed indoor space for additional storage, which can be used as a tender garage or converted into a gym.
ROAM Boats works under another company called Superyacht Tenders and Toys, which says that they “believed there was a gap in the market for a no-nonsense, go-anywhere aluminium superyacht tender, specifically designed for superyacht use with all the equipment required”.
Check out the rather eccentric promo video where the whole entire boat surfaces from the water for some reason:
I wonder if the sentiment that it is too much has ever crossed any of these people’s minds?
